When I get my new closet built in, who removes the shelves and rods that are in there now?
Answer: You have several options:
• you can have a contractor or handyman remove the shelves and rods and fix and paint the walls before the closet is installed. That gives some time for the paint to dry.
• You can ask the closet company to remove the shelves and rods and you can paint it later.
It is easier though to paint the closet before it is installed.
• You can purchase backing that will in most cases cover the holes left where the shelves were removed. It will add to the overall cost of the closet, but you can ask to see the cost and then decide if you rather have your own handyman come in and do the job.
