Hallway Closet Chaos

In our house, the hallway closet is always messy. Is there a way to design a hallway closet that will stay tidy?

Answer: Yes. I would suggest you decide what you feel should be in the hallway closet, take a look at the items that do not belong there by these standards, and then communicate with your household about where you all think these misplaced items should be.

Then the design is usually very simple.
You need a rod. In some cases, when there is enough room, a double hang section and a long hang section.
A shelf or several. Again if there is room, the hallway closet may accommodate shoes, hats, gloves, etc...

A simple design, simple rules about what goes in there, and place for all the other items. This should take care of it.
